I get asked all the time, especially during potential client calls, if I have strategies for client outreach or growing an audience. The short answer is yes. But let me tell you — they probably don’t look like what you have been told.
We have all heard the myth of the cookie-cutter funnel, the promise of a quick fix:
- Attend the summit
- Watch the MasterClass
- Send the clever DM
- Run Facebook ads
- Write the funnel emails
And suddenly the perfect sales machine will solve all your problems. These promises fail because they are exactly that: cookie-cutter. And your clients are not shopping for formulas. They are looking for connection and truth.
When I work with clients on outreach, we usually look at growth in three layers:
- Visibility – choosing the right places to be seen
- Connection – telling the truth so you reach the people you are meant to serve
- Conversion – guiding people naturally through the journey of working with you
But here is the most important part: none of those layers matter if we skip what comes first. The real foundation is alignment, clarity, and authenticity. A podcast, a masterclass, an email series, an in-person event, even a retreat — none of it will land if your offers are not aligned with you.
Outreach is not about doing more. It is about staying true to yourself. When your business feels like home to you, the right people will feel it too, and they’ll knock on the door wanting to come inside.
If there were one silver-bullet strategy, there would be one business book, one business coach, one business summit that solved it all. The truth is, your success lies within you. My work is to help you uncover it.
That is how we grow, Out Beyond.
